CNAIR Artist-in-Residence: A Conversation 
with NOELLE GARCIA

Through a partnership between the Center for Native American and Indigenous Research and the Center for Native Futures, local Indigenous artist Noelle Garcia (Modoc, Paiute, Klamath) has spent 2 weeks on campus in the Kaplan Art Studio (KRESGE 2-315) creating new works that explore her worldview on identity, family history and recovered narratives. Come chat with the artist about her work and process!

Calling all creatives!

Thanks to advocacy efforts by a statewide coalition led by Arts Alliance Illinois, the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity (DCEO) will distribute a historic $50 million in grant money to assist businesses, nonprofit organizations, and sole proprietors in the creative sector that have struggled because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
